About the Book: This collection of short stories on various aspects and diverse behaviour of humans is interesting reading. The author has in the preface, already given the outlines of the stories and therefore repeating them here would be unnecessary. However, I would like to pen a few general observations that struck me when I went through the book. About the Author: During a 34-year-long Career teaching Chemistry in various government colleges in Odisha, Dipty Patnaik kept up her abiding interest in Literature and read a wide range of Odia, English, Bengali and Hindi literature. Post-retirement, she unleashed her creativity on her passion for literature and produced many books ranging from collections of short stories, poems, translations and books for children to articles on popular science and novels. Her versatility and style of presentation has won her widespread acclaim among readers.
